Our Firm

Mark Holmes began the Holmes Funeral Home in 1925 in the north end of Manchester, relocating to the present location in 1948. In 1977, his sons Howard, Arthur, and Norman Holmes purchased the Watkins Funeral Home from the Watkins family, maintaining the history of family-owned businesses and community involvement in Manchester.

In 2017 the four members of the third generation: Scott, Howard, Richard, and Mark Holmes, have entrusted the continuation of Mark Holmes' vision to Glenn Blumenstein and Brian Romanowski.

They, along with a staff of two licensed funeral directors/embalmers and two administrative staff, are always available for assistance and guidance before the death occurs, at the time of the death, and the days, weeks, or months following.
